Share a photo with us and your Instagram community showing how you’re “using your daylight” to enjoy an amazing apres moment, and you could win up to $1000 CASH.
The contest is open October 10th- November 2nd. Category finalists will be selected on November 3rd.

- We will have two categories, so you have two chances to win! Scroll down for the category details.
- We will choose 6 finalists (3 in each category) and will exhibit all 6 photos on our website and social media.
- Prizing for each category is as follows: 1st place – $1000, 2nd place – $500, 3rd place – an S&N gear and cocktail package.
- The Strait and Narrow will have permission to share contest imagery (with credit) on our website, social media and other marketing and promotional materials.
- Our team will narrow down entrants to 6 finalists (3 for each category). From there, the top images will be exhibited on our social media account, where you, our community, will judge and vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Photo Requirments
- All submitted photos must feature a Strait and Narrow Cocktail Can OR Box. Your image can feature any flavour you wish, but it should show how you are using your daylight this Fall. Think blue hour, sunrise/sunset, or making use of your weekend daylight to squeeze in a full adventure day.
- Cocktail cans cannot touch anyone’s lips. You can hold a can, pose it somewhere and even be cheersing, but you cannot take a sip in the shot. (This is not our rule; it’s a Canadian liquor law, we know it’s a bit weird. 😉)
- Responsible consumption only. This should go without stating, but just in case! Cocktail cans cannot be consumed while operating a motor vehicle, on the water, in a hot tub or sauna or anywhere else that is unsafe.
- Technical specs:
- Images can be portrait or landscape orientation. Please be mindful these will be judged on social media, which means portrait orientation is easier to view; if you choose landscape, make it count.
- Images must be submitted in JPG, HEIC or PNG format with a maximum file size of 10MB.
- You don’t need to have a fancy camera to enter! Cell phone imagery is accepted and especially encouraged in the “Best Moment” category.

CATEGORY 1: BEST Moment
Overall photography skills are less critical for this category. We want to see something that will make us laugh, be clever, or use visual storytelling.
HERE’S HOW TO ENTER
01 | CAPTURE YOUR PHOTO
Get creative and capture a photo that shows off how you’re “using your daylight” to adventure and apres this Fall. You can shoot with either the Best Photo or Best Moment category in mind.
Best Photo: Will be judged based on image composition
Best Moment: This category does not need to look professional. Entries will be judged on the image’s creativity, humour and storytelling.
02 | POST YOUR PHOTO(S) ON INSTAGRAM AND TAG @THESTRAITANDNARROW
Post your image(s) on Instagram in a static post (one image) or a carousel post (multiple images) and tell us a bit about your entry in the caption. Entrants are allowed to submit up to 3 photos per person. Each photo will be judged as its own unique entry. You do not need to clarify your image category, you will automatically be entered in both.
*Entry gives us permission to share your uploaded photo(s) on our social media feeds, with full credit always given to you, the creator.

Who is eligible to enter?
All entrants must be legal drinking age in their home province. Open to BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan residents only.Can I make changes or edits to my entry?
Once you’ve entered, no changes are possible. But you can submit another entry!Will I get a confirmation of entry?
Yes! You will get an email confirming that your form has been submitted. Please check your junk mail if you don’t see it. If you do not receive a confirmation, feel free to reach out to us on Instagram.
How do I delete my entry?
You can delete your post from your Instagram feed anytime; it’s your feed after all!Can I enter more than once?
We highly encourage it! You can upload up to a max of three photos.I don’t want to post to my Instagram account, can I still enter?
You need to upload your image to Instagram to enter. If you don’t want to upload a static post to your feed, please reach out to us via DMs and we will be in touch.How will entries be judged?
Our team will create a list of 6 finalists (3 for each category). From there, the top images will be exhibited on our social media account where you, our community will judge and vote for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Yes. We want to see how you’re out apres’ing and you can’t have apres without a S&N Cocktail. Your photo should include a Pacific Coast Cocktail or box of your choice.Will my photo(s) be made public?
We will be sharing our favourite photos on our website and in occasional roundups on our social media. The top 6 entries will be put to a head-to-head vote on Instagram.
